Are you a new photographer struggling to figure out what to buy? These are lenses I used when I first started, and still use to this day!

50mm 1.8 or 1.4

The 50mm lens was the first lens I ever purchased.

Funny enough I’ve broken 3 of these bad boys any beginning years.

I’ve always been rough on this lens so I’m thankful this isn’t as expensive as other lenses in my bag but it also taught me how to treat my lenses correctly and what not to do starting out.

Being a 1.8 or 1.4, there is a difference between them and the 1.2.. however if you plan to shoot weddings I advise it because you need more lighting in dark situations.

24-70mm 4.0

The 24-70 is my go to lens for fashion portraiture. I love this lens because starting out you can go from wide to portrait easily.

If you’re new to weddings, changing lenses might be hard for you starting out.

This is a great choice if you aren’t wanting to carry multiple lenses.

35mm 1.4

The 35mm lens is my TOTAL favorite.

My hot sauce! I LOOOOVE this lens! It is so sharp and creates such stunning images!

It’s not a lens you NEED per say but this is one of my favorite lenses I use at almost every photoshoot I do.
